Mosshaven
appears to be made from
an old oak tree stump,
beautifully decorated by
nature with vines, berries,
moss and acorns.

It's
actually a clever creation made
with papier-mâché,
paper clay, silk plants and
flowers. Real botanicals include
moss, acorns and dried peas,
all of which have been thoroughly
screened for unwanted pests.

The
balcony is made up of a paper
clay mushroom with dried grapevine
railings. The windows are outlined
in a mushroom and have
mullions to discourage unwanted
visitors who might pester the
inhabitants. Both the balcony
and front doors open. There
is a quaint root cellar
in the back to store nuts and
other foodstuffs. |

The
lower roof is protected from
the elements by oak leaves.
The upper roof holds a secret
garden known only to the fairies
that visit there . . .

The
livingroom boasts an enclosed
fireplace. Both the livingroom
and kitchen have handsome inlaid
and varnished split pea flooring.
The bedroom comes complete with
furnishings - built in mushroom
vanity, walnut and grapevine
stool with black-eyed susan
cushion and luxurious bed: a
fine bird's next lined with
moss and feathers. All kept
meticulously clean by my Fairy
Maids. |
